<Seshat> is an ancient Egyptian goddess, often depicted in leopard. As the goddess of wisdom, knowledge and writing, she was also identified as a scribe and record keeper, the most professional of all.
Leopard patterns have always been exemplified as the power of wilderness, and as tired clichés of wealth and authority. In certain periods of history, when women were oppressed to social and political submission, those dressed in leopard prints were often stigmatized as ‘overly provocative’.
Strong as a leopard and wise as a goddess, Mutemuse dedicates the <Seshat> wide strap to fearless women, righteous and confident.
